2010: Blackhawks Trade for Nick Leddy

On February 12, 2010, the Blackhawks acquired Nick Leddy and Kim Johnsson from the Minnesota Wild in exchange for Cam Barker.

The trade worked out wonderfully for Chicago as Leddy provided a puck-moving presence on the blue line for the 2013 Stanley Cup champions. Across parts of four seasons with the Blackhawks, Leddy scored 93 points (20 goals, 73 assists) in 258 regular-season games. The Minnesota native added 10 points (two goals, eight assists) in 54 playoff games with the Blackhawks.

On the flip side of the trade, Barker fizzled out. In parts of two seasons with the Wild, Barker had 12 points (two goals, 10 assists) in 71 regular-season games. He then played sparingly in brief stints with the Edmonton Oilers and Vancouver Canucks before shifting to the KHL.
