Inter Milan midfielder Stefano Sensi will reportedly arrive at Leicester City in the afternoon to finalize his deadline-day switch

The parties have been working on a transfer for several weeks now but the negotiations dragged on till the final day of the winter transfer session.

Nevertheless, the white smoke has eventually emerged, as the 28-year-old is now all set to complete his move.

According to FcInterNews, the negotiations between the two clubs are now in the home stretch.

Therefore, Sensi received the green light to board a flight to England. The source expects him to land in the afternoon.

The Italian has reportedly agreed terms with the Foxes already. He will undergo his medical test later today.

If it all goes according to plan, Sensi will become a Leicester City player before the end of the day.

Inter Milan Midfielder Stefano Sensi Flies To Complete Leicester City Move

The former Sassuolo man will sign a contract until the summer of 2025. He will earn circa 2 million per season in addition to bonuses.

For their part, the Nerazzurri would collect 2.5 million euros as a bonus if Leicester were to secure promotion to the Premier League.

The East Midlands club is currently leading the Championship table by 10 points. Therefore, they appear bound for a swift EPL return following their dramatic demotion last season.

As for Sensi, he’ll be looking to put his career back on track following a disappointing first half of the season.

The 28-year-old rejoined Simone Inzaghi’s ranks in the summer following a loan stint at Monza. But between recurring injury problems and stern competition for places, he only made four second-half cameos in all competitions this term.
