Everton defender Patterson cheering on Spain

Everton defender Nathan Patterson admits he'll be cheering on Spain this week.

A win for Spain against Norway in their Euro qualifier can secure Scotland's passage.

And Patterson admits he will switch his allegiance in the hope they can book their place in the Euros.

Of course I'll be cheering them on. They got the result on Thursday and hopefully they can go and get another one. They will want to get the result and try to top the group. If they do that then it will go our way as well," he said.

I don't see why they wouldn't keep getting better. Teams like that want to get to the very top and stay there. Hopefully we can get the results we need and get the win in the next game."
