Inter Milan wingback Juan Cuadrado cannot wait to return to action and vows to make his comeback soon enough.

The 35-year-old joined the Nerazzurri last summer in what was one of the most controversial switches in Serie A.

The Colombian ended an eight-year collaboration with Juventus to sign for their arch-rivals Inter on a free transfer. This move earned heat from both sets of supporters.

But following some positive cameos, Cuadrado began to earn the respect of the Nerazzurri fanbase.

But sadly for the veteran, a recurring Achilles tendon problem hampered his campaign. This issue forced him to stop several times during the first half of the season.

In the end, the player and the club opted for surgery in December. The winger has been recovering ever since, but his return to action is edging ever closer.

Naturally, Cuadrado is itching to take the pitch once more as he feels that he was born to play football.

“I miss doing what God made me for,” posted the former Juventus man on his Instagram account.

“But with faith, I will return to the pitch soon, because we who love God are helped to obtain the best out of all things.”

This season, Cuadrado made seven appearances in Serie A, all coming off the bench. But he still managed to contribute with a couple of assists.

The experienced star’s only appearance as a starter this season came in the goalless draw against Real Sociedad in the Champions League group stage at San Siro.
