Tottenham Hotspur host Crystal Palace in a 3:00 pm kick-off in their first match for two weeks. The Lilywhites were due to play Chelsea last weekend but this was postponed because of the EFL Cup Final. Here is your Tottenham Hotspur predicted lineup.

Tottenham Hotspur Predicted Lineup vs Crystal Palace: Four Key Injuries to Consider

How Tottenham Hotspur Have Lined-up Recently

Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham side has had a few tweaks here and there. In front of the ever-present Vicario Guglielmo, the strongest centre-back pairing of Cristian Romero and Micky van der Ven has remained unchanged over the past 6 matches. Usually Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie have completed the defence, but they both suffered injuries leading up to the Wolves game which gave Ben Davies and Emerson Royal a run-out.

In holding midfield, Spurs have kept a steady rotation of Pape Sarr, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Oliver Skipp and Yves Bissouma. Rodrigo Bentacur has featured the most as the star of the midfield, able to get Spurs moving forward with his ability on the ball and the eye for a pass.

Tottenham have a great selection of attacking midfielders they can rely on. James Maddison has been a key playmaker over the past four matches, supported on the wings by Son Heung-Min, Dejan Kulusevski as well as Timo Werner and Brennan Johnson.

Up top there has been only one solution for the Lilywhites in the form of Richarlison, who has netted 10 times in his 22 Premier League appearances.

Tottenham Hotspur Recent Form and Tactics

Postecoglou would have been disappointed by the defeat to Wolves in Spurs’ most recent match. It was another example of Tottenham having to come from behind to get something out of a match. But unlike the two wins against Brentford and Brighton,  the last-ditch attempts of Ben Davies and Micky van der Ven to find a late equaliser were not enough to secure any points.

Overall, Tottenham’s form is two wins, two draws and a loss in their past five matches. The one consistent factor in their performances has been the way they way; ‘Ange Ball’ has kept Spurs striving to play fast, attacking football, even if it opens up vulnerabilities in the defence.

Tottenham Hotspur Injuries to Consider

Injuries have played a big part in Spurs’ season so far. As Postecoglou pointed out in his last press conference “we [Tottenham] get one back, we lose one”.

But Richarlison’s injury will be a big blow for Tottenham. He has been a vital source of goals after finding form this season. The Brazilian will be out for three to four weeks with a knee injury according to Postecoglou.

Injuries have dogged Ryan Sessegnon throughout his Spurs career. His latest setback is another hamstring injury, which has meant the player has undergone surgery once again.

Postecoglou commenting on Sessegnon’s injury said: “With Sess it is a tough one. Through no fault of his own he’s worked hard to try to come back and it’s always more challenging when it happens as a series of events and he hasn’t really had any reward in terms of the hard work he’s put in for his rehab to really get out there and play and do what he loves.”

Manor Solomon is “still not anywhere near rejoining the group”, with the player working hard to recover from his knee injury.

Meanwhile, in defence, Destiny has a “chance” to feature since he has trained this week. But Porro is “probably another week away”.
