Club football returned this past weekend, following the October international break, and there were several significant storylines to come out of Matchday 10 of the LALIGA EA SPORTS season, with the pick of these discussed below.

Griezmann bags a hat-trick to close in on Atltico de Madrid's scoring record

Antoine Griezmann scored all three goals as Atltico de Madrid won 3-0 away at RC Celta on Saturday, with this hat-trick taking his overall goals tally for Los Colchoneros to 165. As such, the Frenchman is now just eight goals away from matching Luis Aragons' all-time club record of 173 goals.

Marc Guiu's incredible Bara debut

FC Barcelona overcame Athletic Club 1-0 on Sunday night and they did so thanks to a goal from 17-year-old striker Marc Guiu, who was making his debut for the first team. The teenager rippled the back of the net just 34 seconds after being substituted on, making this a dream debut.

Sevilla FC draw with Real Madrid in Diego Alonso's debut

New Sevilla FC coach Diego Alonso earned a point in his first match with the club, as Los Nervionenses held Real Madrid to a 1-1 draw at the Estadio Ramn Snchez Pizjun on Saturday. The draw marks a positive start for the Uruguayan coach, who is looking to lead Sevilla FC up the standings.

Girona FC are joint-top of LALIGA EA SPORTS

While Real Madrid remain at the top of the table, they are now joined on 25 points by Girona FC. The Catalan outfit produced a remarkable comeback victory at the Estadi Montilivi on Sunday, winning 5-2 against UD Almera despite having gone 2-0 down early on. This latest victory means Girona FC are the first ever club not named Real Madrid, FC Barcelona or Atltico de Madrid to take at least 25 points from the first 10 matchdays of a LALIGA EA SPORTS season.

Takefusa Kubo remains the leader of Real Sociedad's attack

He may not have started in Real Sociedad's match against RCD Mallorca on Saturday, but Takefusa Kubo made the difference after he came off the bench in the 60th minute. Three minutes later, the 22-year-old produced an exquisite assist for Brais Mndez to head in the only goal of the 1-0 win.

Samu Omorodion is delivering for Deportivo Alavs

The Copa del Rey first round ties are set
