Lazio coach Igor Tudor admits he's still trying to map out how to get the best from Mattia Zaccagni.

The Italy striker signed a new contract with Lazio last week.

Tudor said: "He is a player who has also scored many goals in previous years, then it is clear that if you play close to goal you can be more decisive.

"In managing a squad you have to let the best players play, maintaining the right balance even if our the objective is to be offensive and score goals. Zaccagni has important qualities, those who jump the man are missing in this football and having players with these qualities is important."

On midfielder Nicolo Rovella, he said: "Rovella had an interesting championship seeing the matches in which I wasn't there, he then had a major injury with groin pain which slowed him down.

"He's a player I like because he understands football, he's intelligent. He needs to put on a few kilos. He's willing, he wants to understand and I spoke to him because there are players who are doing well and when it happens it's difficult to change."
