Pablo Fornals is delighted with his move to Real Betis.

The former West Ham midfielder made the permanent move last week.

Fornals said at yesterday's presentation: "Very happy, very happy that in the end, despite how things turned out, last hours of the market, to be able to have everything resolved and to be here today.

"As the president said, I was lucky to get to know the stadium, the fans, to have my first minutes and it was beautiful. It was beautiful to see how the fans got up, the expectation that they had for me. It is a huge club, the boys have welcomed Chimy and I very well, I already knew some of them, delighted to arrive at such a healthy locker room with such good people.

"My time in England was coming to an end and when Betis showed interest there were no eyes for anything else. My wife has been Betis for a long time, so once we had the call from Betis there was not much doubt for part of the family because we wanted to come here."

On the hold-up of the deal on deadline day, Fornals added: "We had three days of ups and downs, of moments that seemed to be there, others that were never going to arrive. The last hours were very stressful because I had just said goodbye to my former colleagues and when I spoke to my agent it seemed everything was done, but no, what was previously the fax was missing and now the little program made 'match' and it didn't arrive.

"That day neither my family nor the Betic family slept because we couldn't, but the next day, when it seemed that everything was was going to solve, it was a relief."
