Multiple outlets are reporting that Torino are looking to strike a deal with Sevilla for a loan deal involving former Valencia and Wolves forward Rafa Mir.

According to Sky Sport Italia, TMW and Thursday’s edition of Tuttosport, Toro have been in contact with the LaLiga side over the last few hours and could potentially reach a final agreement over the weekend.

It is believed that Torino will attempt to bring Rafa Mir to Serie A on loan with a right to buy clause included in his contract.

Despite an encouraging start to life with Sevilla in 2021, Rafa Mir is thought to be pushing for a move away as he is not currently a regular starter under coach Quique Sanchez Flores.

Sevilla, as a club, would reportedly like to keep the 26-year-old on board at least until the end of the 2023-24 season. Rafa Mir’s contract in Spain runs until the summer of 2027.

If Torino were able to bring him in, he would provide another attacking option for Ivan Juric and would be ideally suited for playing in the coach’s preferred 3-5-2 system.
