The episode of Mick Foley's "Foley Is Pod" is up now on all podcast platforms.

Mick Foley talked about why he wasn’t thrilled with his match with The Rock at WrestleMania XX:

"Only because I didn't dig down deep. Only because I set my sights on having a good match and not messing up. There was a ton of pressure on me, and then when I walked out to the Garden, I felt overwhelmed. I'm walking there with The Rock, who at that point was one of the biggest stars in the world. Now he's the biggest star, but 20 years ago he was certainly one of the biggest stars. Then you have the Nature Boy who's always feeling it. He's on and I just felt suddenly overwhelmed. It's Madison Square Garden. I haven't wrestled in five months. I had worked for six months to drop 70 pounds, but I was blown up in ungodly fast fashion when I faced off against Randy. I remember thinking, like, as we're slugging away, I'm like, how could I possibly be, you know, gassed out as hard as I work, you know, night in and night out going to the Gold's Gym at 1 AM in the freezing cold. I've thought, Okay, I'm ready, you know, and from the standpoint of being on the bike or the elliptical, I felt like I was ready and then you get in there and it's a whole different ball game.

Mick Foley said he would like to have another match:

“Sixty is right around the corner. I’m thinking of doing one final match for my 60th birthday. Death Match. I think it'd be a great incentive to drop those 100 big ones (pounds) and I think it might be fun.

On if he would do his final match in WWE:

“No. No, because I think it would be a pretty gory spectacle. I’m just thinking about it. I put it out there to two of my kids and they were like, ‘Would you get hurt?’ ‘Yea, probably.’ I wouldn’t have to get my brain rattled. I’m not adverse to getting a few sticheroonies here and there. I mean, it won’t be for everyone, and rightfully like, ‘That’s not good for you.’ It could help me lose 100 pounds. That’s what I’m missing. I did drop the hundred, but I had the WrestleMania thing. I was already down 50. I had Vince in my ear where I made the promise to him that I would be down 80, but I don’t have any type of incentive, so it’s something I’m throwing out there. This time next year, we might have to revisit that option.”

On who he would like to have for his opponent:

“Moxley or Matt Cardona. I think Moxley would be the easiest, but Matt has that heat in the death match world that could really make it something cool.”
