Will Ospreay seemingly takes a jab back at Triple H.
During the April 10 episode of AEW Dynamite, Renee Paquette conducted an interview with Will Ospreay in front of the live crowd. Ospreay noted that there’s a rumor going around that he’s afraid of the grind. Ospreay isn’t sure where this is coming from considering he’s flying back and forth from the UK to the US while still delivering some of the best wrestling matches the world has ever seen.
Normally he wouldn’t respond to such a comment, but seeing as though the guy he’s referring — Triple H — was “grinding on the boss’ daughter,” he doesn’t think Triple H is in the position to tell him what the grind is all about.
Ospreay concluded that portion of the promo by reminding people not to throw stones at an assassin with a machine gun. He went on to address Bryan Danielson once again ahead of their first-ever singles match at AEW Dynasty on April 21.

The rumor Ospreay was referring to was related to comments made by Paul “Triple H” Levesque in the lead up to WrestleMania 40.
Triple H was discussing scouting talent and free agents when he said, “If they’re not here to be all in on this…when I see people that come out of trying to make it and then they pick the job where they go, well, they work less, the schedule is lighter. Alright, then I’m glad if I didn’t get you. If you’re not in it for the grind at that point early in your career, you have no business being here.”
While Triple H never named Ospreay in his comments, many fans assumed he was talking about the former New Japan star.
