WWE reveals new World Tag Team titles, crowns number one contenders

WWE has unveiled new World Tag Team title belts, and crowned new number one contenders to the championships.

Former Raw Tag Team Champions The Miz & R-Truth were presented with new title belts in an in-ring ceremony on Monday's Raw by on-screen authority figure Adam Pearce & WWE CCO Paul "Triple H" Levesque. Miz & R-Truth won the Raw Tag titles at WrestleMania 40 in a ladder match that saw Grayson Waller & Austin Theory grab the SmackDown Tag titles, splitting the once Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship into two distinct titles again.

Triple H announced the renaming of the titles, presented the champions with their new belts, then Pearce announced a triple threat number one contenders match for the World Tag Team Championship.

DIY's Tommaso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano defeated The New Day's Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods, and Julius Creed & Brutus Creed of The Creed Brothers in the triple threat match to become the number one contenders to the new World Tag Team titles.

No date has been set for the title match to this point.
